Introduction
We build the Sk15 Halogen Infrared Heat Lamp for engineers who need direct, controllable heat in tight spaces. Available in 1500W and 2000W ratings at 230V, this shortwave infrared heater delivers rapid radiant output in a compact footprint. It is engineered for applications where localized warmth is required, from bathroom zone heating to industrial spot heating, without overloading the circuit.
Technical Deep-Dive
The lamp’s power options—1500W and 2000W—are selected to match common electrical runs and thermal demand without requiring rewiring. Running on 230V simplifies integration into standard mains systems, reducing transformer overhead and panel complexity. The shortwave infrared output provides fast thermal response; the element reaches operating temperature quickly, so you get heat on demand rather than waiting for convection to warm the air. This is not ambient heating. It is line-of-sight radiant energy. You point it where you need heat, and it delivers.
Material & Design
The core uses a halogen-cycle quartz envelope, which keeps the filament stable at high temperature and resists premature burnout. The Half White coating manages visible light while maintaining strong infrared output. For bathroom use, that means the light is softer on the eyes while the heating performance stays strong. The Sk15 base is a compact, low-profile connector that fits tight fixtures and short lamp holders. It is designed for quick drop-in replacement and stable contact under vibration.
Application & Benefits
In bathroom heating, the lamp warms people and surfaces directly, reducing the load on room heaters and cutting warm-up time. The Half White finish reduces glare, which matters when the fixture is close to occupants. In industrial settings, the same design provides high heat density in a small footprint. It is suitable for spot heating, pre-heating zones, or maintaining process temperatures on a line. Trade-off: high power density demands proper thermal management. Ensure the fixture and surrounding materials are rated for the temperature, and keep clearance distances according to the installation spec.
